Real Money Poker Now A Reality With Bwin Poker for iPhone

According to our friends at iPhone Poker Apps, Apple have finally allowed a real money poker app into their App Store. The bad news is that the app will only be available to iPhone owners in Austrian, England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Bwin have somehow managed to navigate the tricky Apple restrictions by getting the real money poker app approved by Apple. Their success in getting approval for one of the first Sportsbook apps last year no doubt helped them along the way.

Bwin, who are an Austrian company, succeded in getting their all listed in the iTunes app store by utilising the Geotagging feature in the latest iPhone OS which restricts app usage to certain regions. This means that the app will only work while you are situated in the United Kingdom or Austria. If you decide to take a holiday to France or the United States the app will not work.

Bwin plan to roll their app out across Europe over the coming months once the legality of mobile gambling has been cleared in each country. This will surely prompt PokerStars and Full Tilt to release their own iPhone poker app.
